I have one question today. With luck, I
will ponder it all day and not come up with any others. Thinking
tends to give me a headache.
Something about the topic and that last paragraph is definitely
wrong. I'll think about it later.
So, here it goes. The internet is filled with sex related sites.
Everything from straight porn to sex advice to how to find sex to
disgusting porn that I wish I had never run across because I may never
have sex again after seeing it. Don't tell my husband. He is still
under the delusion we will have sex again after the children leave
home. Only sixteen more years to go!
Where are all the anti-sex sites? I am not talking the
abstinence-because-we-are-holding-out-until-the-right-one-comes-along
sites, because in truth, those are just long bouts of foreplay and
self-gratification sites. No. I mean the sites created by mostly
women, I'm guessing here, who
never have understood what the big deal is and are proud to be happy without sex.
I want to read about the mother of ten who finally says that's it.
We tried timing, birth control pills, condoms, patches, and sponges.
Now, I'm doing what my mom always told me to do. I'm keeping my legs
crossed. I don't want to read about the lesbians who have turned sour
on men, but the women who find the whole experience yucky and
barbaric. Who not only think babies should come from test tubes, but
sex is the root of all evil and have vowed to end the evil, one person
at a time.
Yeah, I want to read about the hardcore non-sexist! Gimme a
change of pace. Give me no sex online!

The Lucy
Lediaev Contest
The moment you all have been
waiting for! Yeah, I know. I have an overdeveloped sense of
self-importance. It could be worse. I could be running for
public office and bombarding your TV with annoying commercials instead,
but I digress.
The winner of the Lucy Lediaev
contest is Kevin Moss.
Kevin is a software/electronics
developer form Tulsa, OK. After a 20-year hiatus from writing to
pursue a passion for computers and electronics, he has recently
started writing again. When he isn’t hustling for software work, he is
writing. Kevin’s forte is speculative fiction short stories, but he
hopes to finish his first novel soon.
When asked how he felt about his auspicious win, Kevin had this to
say: "As someone who put off
their writing career off for 20 years, I say to anyone wants to write as
a living, ‘Put in the time to get your thoughts down on paper. A few
hours a week could make the difference between being published and
wondering if you could be published.’" Congratulations Kevin!
